Hyvä Developers Paradise 2025: The Recap

Hyvä DevParadise: An unforgettable experience

Hyvä Developers Paradise 2025 is over, but what we lived and shared in Gran Canaria will stay with us forever. Three days of learning, coding, networking, and, of course, unforgettable fun.

This year’s event solidified Hyvä DevParadise as a must-attend experience for the Magento and Hyvä communities, bringing key discussions around performance, Core Web Vitals, and eCommerce innovation.

Day 1: Meet, share & warm up

The first day was all about reconnecting with old friends and making new ones. The DevExchange kicked things off—no slides, just real talk and open discussions over drinks. Hosted by John Hughes (Hyvä), Alessandro Ronchi (Hyvä), and Andrea Saccà (Bhoost), this session was all about sharing ideas in a relaxed setting.

Later, some attendees took part in a tennis tournament, adding a bit of competition before the evening.

And then, the rooftop pre-party: a golden-hour sunset, good vibes, and the perfect setting to set the tone for the next two days.

Day 2: Learning, talks & epic moments

The main event: a packed day of insightful talks, groundbreaking discussions, and big announcements commanded by a great MC, Rebecca Brocton (Hyvä). From Hyvä’s roadmap to the future of Magento, the agenda was stacked with top-tier speakers sharing their expertise in performance, scalability, Core Web Vitals, and Hyvä development.

Willem Wigman (Hyvä) opened the day with exciting insights into Hyvä’s future, unveiling new features like Hyvä CMS, a customizable Admin Dashboard, and enhanced media optimization tools.

Ksenia Zvereva (mollie) talked about smarter, faster Hyvä project delivery, focusing on efficiency and performance.

Karlijn Löwik & Erwin Hofman (RUMvision) discussed Speed, UX, and Real User Monitoring (Core Web Vitals), helping developers improve performance where it matters most.

Matt Parkinson (BlueFinch) focused on reducing TCO, simplifying patch management, and boosting conversions, presenting strategies to optimize Magento stores.

Vinai Kopp (Hyvä) delivered a technical deep dive into Content Security Policy (CSP) for Hyvä, offering best practices for securing Magento projects.

Sergej Derzap (Amasty) & Roger Rodrigo (interactiv4) shared insights on migrating XXL catalogs to Magento Open Source, tackling performance and scalability challenges.

Andreas von Studnitz (Hyvä) introduced low-code tools for Magento integrations, making complex implementations simpler and more efficient.

Jakub Winkler (qoliber) delivered a powerful talk on Community 3.0, setting a vision for the evolution of Magento’s ecosystem.

Alfreds Genkins (Scandiweb) explored seamless UX journeys, diving into challenges and solutions for improving Magento storefront experiences.

With barely an empty seat in the room, developers, tech leaders, and eCommerce experts tuned in to gain exclusive insights into performance, scalability, and next-gen frontend development.

And, of course, what’s an event without an epic after-party? Dancing, laughter, drinks, and countless memories were made. The perfect way to wrap up an incredible day.

Day 3: Fast & Furious farewells

The last day started with some high-speed karting, bringing out the competitive spirit of some brave attendees. It was the perfect way to close the event, packed with goodbyes, hugs, and bags full of swag and memories.

Huge “Thanks” to all who made it happen

None of this would have been possible without our incredible sponsors, community partners, and, most importantly, all the attendees who made this event so special.

Sponsors: Mollie, Hyvä, Hypernode, BlueFinch, Amasty, Atwix, RedHyve, Fabrico, Onestic, ZERO-1, RUMvision, JH, Corvero, Vendic, CustomGento, Deploy eCommerce, Snowdog, qoliber & Goodahead.

What’s next?

So the big question is: Where should we take Hyvä DevParadise 2026? Suggestions are welcome!
